Support the School Library
There are a number of ways that you can support the library:
Do you have some middle-school appropriate books at home that your child has read? Consider donating them to the Joyce Library. This is a great way to expand the collection of the library. A sample of a range of books include: The Tree House Series, Goosebumps, Captain Underpants, Harry Potter, and Twilight. Any book that would appeal to an 11 – 13 year old boy or girl would be appropriate. Also consider purchasing a book at the Fair for direct donation to the library.
Donated books can be dropped off on Ms. Maney’s desk in the library at any time.
Donate time to the Library
Ms. Maney needs volunteers to help laminate the paperback book collection. Laminating these books extends the life to those of a hard cover book. Laminating can be done at home and on your schedule: your child can bring home a bag of books and the laminating sheets and can bring them back when you are done. Ms. Maney will be showing us the process at the March 3rd PTO meeting, so please join us.
Thanks to parent and teacher support, the Book Fair was successful. The proceeds of the fair were used to purchase forty two new books for the library. Thank you for your support!
