The Comic Book Project is an arts-based literacy and learning project run by the Center for Educational Pathways in N.Y.C. It is designed to help children develop their literacy by having them write, design, and publish original comic books. The project promotes academic reinforcement, social development and community awareness. Each year the students are given a theme to write about and last year it was "If I ruled the world ..." This year it is the environment.
