Joyce Middle School PTO
Winterfest is December 14th at 7pm, Usually 3$ for the show
50/50 Raffle volunteers and water/ candy volunteers needed
December 6th is 1/2 day for teacher development. Dismissal at 12 with lunch
Joyce ski and Snowboard group will start offering trips after the first of the year.
1 Day trip to Pats Peak with a 45 person limit (plus an overflow list) January 21st during school
There will be 6 trips all together.
January 3rd we come back to school
October 23rd lock-down drill went well.
Homework club has started on Tuesday and Thursday at 2;15 – 3:10 and its Open to all
Learn to lead program on Friday the 27th - Full day program
Leader ship skills, teaching anti-bullying (i.e. being an active bystander)
Mr. Scalley open computer lab for projects after school on Tuesday until 3:05pm.
Parent Teachers online sign-up started with report cards
III. President's Report
Teacher Appreciation Breakfast is December 19th - volunteers needed to set up
Scrips cards will be delivered on Monday the 19th or Tuesday the 20th and go home with the kids.
Feb/ March – Anti-bullying for parents event coming.
Feb 27th to March 29th will be Yankee Candle fundraiser2nd week in April – Cash Calendar fundraiser
Holiday raffle is going well. Many kids have already requested more tickets.
Hard copy newsletter to school – Maureen to create. Targeted toward 6th grade and pulling in emails for the online newsletterPromote January meeting with Guidance Counselors
Thoughts about a pajama drive for the Students – not a finished discussion.
